Group 3: McCarthy: Growing Up
I thought this was a great way of mixing drawn elements with illustrated elements. The transitions were also very interesting relating to the transitions in life. The concept was intriguing considering many of us will be going out into the real world shortly with most of us graduating in the next year so it really fits. Its a cute, child-like take on how life is a struggle but we will all manage to pull through it one way or another.

NICE! stop motion/construction paper/crafty feel. It's got a real homie feel which goes great with the kids voice. visually the transitions between scenes is sweet, i mostly enjoy the gradients fading in and out
ReplyDeleteLove the texture of the paper and imperfections that give the viewer the association with a kid's craft project. The unpredictable scenes also reflect the kid defining what life is, which is a surprise.
ReplyDeletelove it! I agree with what you guys have said- I didn't even notice the transitions at first, until I read your comments- they are so smooth, but unexpected at the same time! Also, this is an excellent example of pacing- thing moves fast enough from scene to scene to keep you engaged, but not so fast you don't have time to enjoy the little details.
